Student Awards:
- Julia Myerson Trustman Fellowship: Honors an outstanding senior in the field of art for the purposes of creative work, study, research or travel. This is the largest cash award given to a student in the undergraduate college. Recipient: Phoebe Cole '13.
- Joshua D. Oppenheim Award: Honors a senior who demonstrates outstanding creative potential in the field of writing, studio art, art history, curatorial practice, photography or film making. Recipient: Roxanne Groomer '13.
- Alicia Craig Faxon Award in Art History: Honors an outstanding senior in art history. Recipient: Phoebe Cole '13.
- Robert Gronquist Memorial Award in Music: Honors an outstanding senior in music. Recipient: Yasmina Kamal '13.
- Thomas J. Wallace Award in Studio Art: Honors an outstanding senior in studio art. Recipient: Bianca Valerio '13.
- Heather Christine Hekman Award: Honors a senior who demonstrates exceptional creative potential in the field of photography. Recipient: Isabel Stearns '13.

- Allison Hammerly '11 presented her paper, "Henry Alexander Scammell Dearborn: Developing Ideas of Public Service" at the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Popular & American Culture Association Conference in Boston, under the direction of Chair of the department and Professor of Art History, Margaret Hanni. - Annika Blake-Howland presented her paper, "Isabella's Concert: Isabella Stewart Gardner and Johannes Vermeer's Reputation in the Nineteenth Century" at the Visual Culture Consortium under the direction of Professor of Art History, Margaret Hanni. Read the Abstract to her paper here.
Sure Fellows:
Madeleine Sneeden '14 and Alexandra Copeland '14 undertook work for the College Art Collection, conducting an inventory of the location and status of works of art installed on campus. They took photographs of each to help with future identification and condition checks. They discovered four works of art that had been missing since offices were moved and also produced a list of objects that may be in need of conservation.
Annika Blake-Howland undertook extensive bibliographic and image research on behalf of one of Professor Margaret Hanni's scholarly projects, the marriage portrait in eighteenth-century England. Annika helped research and determine availability of images for publication.
