Looking at Visual Art Through The Lens of Sexual Misconduct

A panel discussion sponsored by the Boston Art Dealers Association

April 23, 2019 6:30 PM
The Trustman Art Galler y, 4th Floor, Main College Building

The #MeToo movement has touched upon many sectors of our society, including the world of visual art. How do our opinions and perceptions of artists accused of sexual misconduct change? What are the challenges in acknowledging accomplished work in this light, and what are the outcomes for both the artist and the public? Please join us for a discussion with:

  • Samuel Adams, Koch Curatorial Fellow, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum
  • Sarah Kennel, Byrne Family Curator of Photography, Peabody Essex Museum
  • Steve Locke, artist and educator; Massachusetts College of Art • Karen Moss, artist and collector
  • Alicia Rodriguez-Alvisa, photographer; video and performance artist

Moderated by Jenee Osterheldt, Culture Writer; The Boston Globe

THE PANEL IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC For more information call 617-536-4465 or visit
