Campus Card Office

The Campus Card Office issues ID cards, known as Fenway Cards, which are used for identification, dining, library privileges, use of the Sports Center, door access, and pre-paid services. The office also administrates the campus card program.

All Simmons College students are required to have an official Simmons photo identification card. You will need this card to gain access to college buildings, dormitories, dining halls, use Fenway Cash and for other services.

There are two ways for students to obtain a Simmons ID:

    1. Visit the Campus Card Office (first floor of the Palace Road Building, Suite P107) during our business hours and have your picture taken and ID printed; or

    2. Submit a photo online and have your ID ready for pick up when you arrive on campus.

Please make sure to pay attention to all of the requirements for submitting a photo online. Photo submissions are manually reviewed before any IDs are printed. If your photo cannot be used we will ask you to resubmit your photo or we will take your photo at the Campus Card office. Once your Simmons ID is printed you must come in person to the Campus Card Office to pick it up. You must present a government issued photo ID in order for the Campus Card Office to provide you with your Simmons ID.

In conjunction with the Colleges of the Fenway (COF), your Simmons College Fenway Card has more functions than ever. If you choose to activate the pre-paid services option (Fenway Cash), you may use your card in place of cash on-campus for dining, bookstore purchases, vending machines, copiers, laundry machines, and printing. In addition, you will be able to use your card at other COF campuses and at off-campus merchants that accept Fenway Cash.

In order to be eligible to use Fenway Cash you must agree to the terms and conditions of use (via electronic signature), purchase Fenway Cash, and activate the pre-paid service feature. You must be at least 18 years old and a Simmons College student, faculty, staff member, or affiliate with a valid Simmons ID. Non-Simmons students, guests, visitors, and members of the general public are not eligible for the Simmons College Fenway Cash program.

Once your pre-paid service feature is activated, your ID card should be considered as cash and should be protected accordingly.

If your card is lost, stolen, misplaced or if you suspect someone is using your card without authorization, you should take the following two steps:

1) Deactivate your account (a) via the website [24/7], or (b) by calling the Fenway Card Service Center [during business hours], or (c) by contacting the Campus Card Office [during business hours].

2) Have your door access deactivated by the Office of Public Safety [24/7].

Here's how you may complete the two steps outlined above:

1(a) Visit the website , log into your account, and deactivate your card. The website is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. An immediate deactivation and report will help keep any monetary loss to a minimum.

1(b) Call the Fenway Card Service Center at 877-263-8340, Monday through Friday (holidays excluded) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. During business hours, telephoning is the best way of minimizing possible losses.

1(c) Contact the Campus Card Office during regular business hours for assistance. The Office is located in the Palace Road Building, First Floor, Room P-107, 617-521-2273.

2) Contact the Office of Public Safety at 617-521-1112 to have your door access deactivated. The Public Safety phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

After your account is deactivated, you must come to the Campus Card Office to receive a new ID card and reactivate your account. Your account cannot be reactivated until you visit the Campus Card Office. If your card was lost, stolen or misplaced, you will be charged a replacement card fee of $25.00.

If you suspect unauthorized use, you may be asked to submit a written statement with the details of the transaction(s) in question.

You may not obtain cash advances or make cash withdrawals from your Fenway Cash account. There are no account fees to establish, maintain, or make transactions. There are, however, fees for the following: replacing a lost, stolen, or misplaced ID card; returned check; and inactive account (no transactions after one calendar year).
A student identification card must be presented upon the request of a College official. Cards are non-transferable and students are prohibited, under any circumstances, from lending an ID. Failure to comply with this policy shall result in disciplinary action.
