The Honors Program provides an opportunity for students with distinguished high school academic records who are newly entering the College. The program combines a four-year curriculum, co-curricular activities, and community for its members. There are a small number of spots held open for those students with exceptional qualifications who apply in their first year. For more information on the Honors Program, please see page 9 of the 2014-2015 Course Catalog.
The Dean's List was established to recognize undergraduate students' academic excellence. To be included on the Dean's List, which is compiled each semester, a student must have obtained a semester GPA of at least 3.50, have earned at least 12 credits using the letter grade system, and shall not have been found guilty of violating the Honor Code of Responsibility during that semester.
Departmental Honors Programs
Most departments of the College offer departmental honors to qualified students. Please see page 23 of the 2014-2015 Course Catalog for more specific information on departmental honors.
